Role Purpose

Develop and manage Cool Inc and the restaurant brands communications strategy and implement a broad range of public relations activities and plans for the group and business units (whether internally or externally) to achieve organizational, business and brand goals.


Accountabilities

Strategy:

  • Develop Cool Inc communication strategy through alignment and incorporation of feedback from key leaders and internal clients to ensure effectiveness.
  • Develop individual public relations and communications plans for all hospitality brands managed by Cool Inc.
  • Development of press releases, write ups, talking points, key messaging in English and Arabic.
  • Oversees the ongoing progress and implementation of the strategy and plans through measuring results, development of external and internal communications’ guidelines, policies, & processes to ensure timely & effective implementation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the key messages, stakeholders mapping and master narrative.
  • Develop and Implement crisis and issues communication strategy, policies, and processes. Proactively manages, mitigates issues, and monitors sentiments on social media as they relate to the organization.
  • Work closely with Cool Inc legal and other functional teams as needed, as well as contracted agencies to develop and execute issues/crisis communications programming.
  • Deliver consistent investors Communications as per the financial calendar including the annual report.


External & Internal Alignment:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with top tier local and regional media, influencers, A-listers, Public Relations agencies and other stakeholders as required to ensure smooth operations in positioning the corporate brand as well as the different hospitality brands managed by the group.
  • Conduct companywide corporate communications audit and review to ensure Business Units compliance with the policies & processes.
  • Serve as a key contact to members of the media to provide the required information about the company and/or its Business Units and brands.
  • Develop events as needed for media launches, exclusive VIPs reveals, etc.


Executive & Leadership Communication:

  • Provide communications counsel and expertise to the leadership and senior executives for public speeches, events and conferences ensuring consistency in messages, tone of voice and compliance with the corporate communications policies.
  • Develop Content for CEO and key stakeholders’ social handles and internal, in line with persona building and profile.
  • Maximize media exposure for corporate and B2C communications through effective activities with the support of the Public Relations (PR) agency including leadership communications across all channels including print, digital, TV, internal, etc.
  • Manage a small team performance through providing performance feedback, conversations, appraisal, coaching, knowledge transfer …etc. to ensure the achievement of the set objectives and employees career development.
