HR Business Partner – KSA

Reports to: Country Manager


Job Purpose:

  • Work in partnership with Corporate People Team to provide HR support within KSA and to deliver people plans effectively and consistently.
  • Under the guidance of Corporate People Team, deliver best practice and commercially focused HR solutions that support the business area.
  • Administer all human resource initiatives, programs and initiatives and provide HR support to all departments & staff within the KSA.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Under the guidance of Corporate People team ensure the People Operating Plan is implemented within KSA, ensuring alignment to corporate policy and protocols at all times.
  • Support staff to resolve human resource issues by providing consistent interpretation / application of HR policies and procedures across KSA.
  • Develop and update job descriptions for all roles in the allocated verticals.
  • Maintain Organisational Structures on a quarterly basis.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of all Employee Engagement initiatives.
  • Liaises with the L&D Manager to identify and coordinate all training and development initiatives, including onboarding and functional / divisional related training.
  • Ensure that all manpower planning forecasts are completed and executed in accordance with Saudisation regulations as defined by the Ministry of Labour. Maximises utilisation of government training programs to attract, engage and retain qualified Nationals.
  • Support the hiring manager to prepare the headcount forms to initiate the recruitment process and ensure it is in line with the approved Headcount Plan and Budgets.
  • Coordinate employee performance reviews, probationary meetings (where applicable) and regular one to one meetings to assist the Corporate People team to drive standards across the business.
  • Conduct grievance investigations with line managers, recommend resolution and ensure corporate procedures are followed and documented.
  • Discuss and determine appropriate disciplinary action in case of misconduct and under performance in line with the Bateel disciplinary policies & procedures.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyse and report on the exit interview analysis.
  • Oversee employee information collection, analysis and reporting; supervises the input of data and ensures data integrity. Audits (HRIS) system capabilities for accuracy, integrity and functionality.
  • Support in preparing and monitoring headcount and personnel costs within budget.
  • Periodically analyse and report the HR KPIs and identify solutions to improve them.
  • Escalate employee issues and engage with Corporate People Team for optimized solution.
  • Administer all People programs to support entire employee cycle including but not limited to workforce planning, resourcing, performance management, learning and development, reward and recognition, employee relations, payroll, HRIS, costing, organization development and effectiveness, compliance, reporting, transport, accommodation etc.
  • Serves as the Department’s liaison of HR and Management, as well as central point of contact for inter-departmental projects and communications related to HR business operations.
  • Assesses HR operational needs and changes policies and procedures to ensure efficiencies and seamless delivery of services to all present, past, and future customers of the country.
