Al Khawarizmi International Holding Company invites applications for the full-time position of Head of IT Services. The position reports to the Vice President for Administration & Finance.

The Head of IT Services will be responsible for overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. Devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.  This is a full time position to begin on 7th March 2021.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Identify, evaluate and select computer systems and supplies for networks, servers and different computers.

2. Develop design and provide the continuous update of networks and servers, and check their operational status to meet needs of the College.

3. Provide technical support for all activities relating to the installation, testing and function of operating systems, and network requirements and regulations.

4. Continuously monitor the needs of different College departments in terms of the devices and utilities needed to use the information technology (IT) applications.

5. Provide direct technical supervision over all equipment and tools for e-connection and servers.

6. Provide all servers with anti-spyware protection systems and prevent unauthorized access to all systems and servers of the College.

7. Train IT users in the College on the use of devices and modern technologies.

8. Continuously ensure the safety of devices and information security, and develop all precautions and alternative programs for use in the event of an emergency.

9. Create backup copies for all systems and servers of the College on daily, weekly and monthly basis according to the policy.

10. Provide direct supervision over the work of the technicians in the Technical Support Unit.
