The PHP Team Leader will oversee multiple streams of concurrent development in each sprint and will set up the app’s internal technical road map and ensure that all the team members are working towards the same goals.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Coordinate the development efforts of multiple back-end membersCollaborate closely with Product Owner and design teams to create innovative user interfaces and features, optimized for mobile platformsContinue improving the app quality of user experience on many devices;Stay up to date on back-end platform and ecosystem developmentsUnit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliabilityDevelop, record, and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platformsBuild innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) teamEnsure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applicationsPrepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development toolsUtilize backend data services and contribute to increasing existing data services APILead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post-launch supportRefactor, optimize and improve the existing codebase for maintenance and scaleUse test-driven development and acceptance tests to ensure feature qualityInterface with customer and internal teams to gather requirements and develop software solutionsConvey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issuesDocument the development process, architecture, and standard componentsCoordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as a liaison between development staff and project managerKeep abreast of new trends and best practices in web developmentIdentify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs;Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization;Manage the department and provide guidance to the team members;Coach the team members on project handling and new technologiesResearching technologies;Development patterns and strategyCode review for the completed tasksMaintain documentation process for the tasksEnsure a proper time logging of his team membersEvaluate the teamEstimation confirmationTeam planningMaintain high KPIs for the teamPrepare a monthly report for the department and submit it to the Manager.
