Duties & Responsibilities Teaching all areas of the Primary English National Curriculum. Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age students. Organizing the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment. Planning, preparing and presenting differentiated lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class. Motivating students with enthusiastic, imaginative class activities. Preparing, marking and providing feedback to facilitate positive student development. Meeting requirements for the assessment. Records, evaluates and reports student’s development. Providing feedback to parents on student's progress through scheduled meetings and reports. Working collaboratively with others to plan and coordinate work. Organizing and taking part in school events, outings and activities. Substitute absent teachers job requirements. Follow school calendar and policies. Watch closely for students who are struggling with academic, emotional problems, learning disabilities or situations at home, and help them find the resources they need. Grade papers and homework regularly to keep students updated on how they are doing and to head off any problems before they become habit. Attend parent-teacher meetings. Weave goals, competencies and objectives into lesson plans in ways that directly apply to the student’s life. Ensure the classroom is clean and orderly and that all students are learning in a safe and productive environment. Plan, provide and supervise assessments. To attend staff meetings, year group meetings and other training and developmental sessions To promote the welfare of children and to support the school in safeguarding children through relevant policies and procedures. To participate in student supervision during duty times as assigned by the school administration. To communicate with children in English at all times, except in language classes. To prepare appropriate records for the transfer of students between Year Groups.
