Role Description:
Establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information; managing staff.
Key Activities:
- Ensure proper accounting and forecasting of each department’s financial results
- Identify risks and opportunities to contribute to the achievement of the organization's short- and long term financial goals
- Make recommendations to senior management about the financial implications of proposed investments and transactions
- Manage the most complex, large, or difficult analysis projects
- Establish and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with the external financial community
- Oversee financial reporting and providing financial support for various departments
- Direct the preparation of regulatory reports
- Reviews and approve reconciled General Ledger with Sub- Ledger accounts.
- Review accuracy of financial reports and communicate to senior management
- Liaison with External Auditor in carrying out their annual and other audits and to provide them necessary information to complete the audit and finalize the statutory accounts and filing of Zakat return.
- Manage, guide and assist direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set operational plans, policies and procedures
- Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate/appraise the team and provide regular feedback on performance
- Actively participate in on-the-job training, mentoring and coaching of direct reports
- Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent for Finance
- Recommend improvements to and implement Finance policies, procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results
- Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement
- Ensure compliance to all relevant policies, procedures and controls across the team’s activities in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and responsible environmental behaviors
