Role Description:

Reporting to the Executive Director of IT, the Ancillary Application Manager will manage and coordinate the daily activities of the Application team responsible for software design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and ongoing support of Ancillary Applications. The Ancillary Application Manager obtains and maintains in-depth knowledge of workflows and system functionality. The position combines managerial Accountabilities with a demonstrated technical expertise. The manager possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and the expertise to translate technical terminology into understandable concepts by management, department heads, and performance level personnel. The manager leads the design of workflows and builds following clinical/financial/ancillary requirements. The Ancillary Application Manager is a representative of the Information Technology Department and is responsible for establishing, fostering, and maintaining positive business relationships with Aldara co-workers and Cerner/Agfa/Remnisol/ScriptPro partners. 


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:

1- Strategy and Planning:

  • Provide input for Improvements  and plans to work closely with Executive Director - IMT
  • Participate in the development of Information Technology's annual operation plans and ensure implementation is in line with Information Technology and AlDara's corporate strategy
  • Participate in process improvement & structure SLA for Cerner changes and technical  issues
  • Support in investigating and recommending solutions with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Regularly engage with Cerner, Remnisol, Afga & ScriptPro Teams to focus on the roadmap for improvements and new ideas to implement.
  • Demonstrate active engagement with Al Dara IMT and Cerner Teams.
  • Manage and Lead fundamental build changes, configure and enable the teams for critical projects 

2- Policies, Processes, and Procedures:

  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical practice or business operations, hospital policy, regulatory requirements, and standards of practice within their assigned area of expertise.
  • Demonstrate business and application expertise during workflow design, validation sessions, integrated work sessions, and ongoing system optimization. 
  • Implement approved change requests and modifications, adhering to established system change control guidelines.
  • Take Tier 2 On Call for after-hours user support on a rotating basis as necessary.

3- People Management:

  • Manage, guide, and assist direct reports to perform their functional operations per set operational plans, policies, and procedures
  • Set performance objectives, provide the necessary support, evaluate/appraise the team, and provide regular feedback on performance
  • Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent for Information Technology
  • Serve as contact and mentor, along with other clinical/Financial/Ancillary systems group members, for the super users across all departments.
  • Hold routine meetings with team members, partners, and managers to document and discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end‐user concerns, upcoming milestones, and project status updates.
  • Collaborate to identify, implement and evaluate education and training needs for new hires, current hospital staff, super users, medical staff, and students based on their organizational role.
