Senior Manager - Product & Network Management

Key Roles & Responsibilities

•   Develop Strategy for Client Feeder & Liner together with VP Container Shipping.

•   Outline, communicate and execute Client Feeder & Liner strategy and plan for accelerated growth and profitability.

•   Establish, develop and enhance the Feeder and Liner product value proposition including Service offering and Pricing policy/guideline

•   Ensure the liner product and service scope is fully aligned with existing and future feeder networks as well as 3rd party feeder network with positive contribution or strategic importance to the liner product

•   Align container asset plan (as per asset strategy) with Operations  

•   Continuously optimize Client Feeder network structure, asset composition, partnerships and to maximize Container Shipping competitiveness

•   Develop, lead and execute Feeder & Liner Pricing to maximize Container Shipping yield 

•   Develop and implement Client Feeder & Liner product expansion organically and through network partners and agents

•   Ensure compliance of agreed terms and conditions for any network partnership incl. coordination of alliance contracts of joint feeder networks, authority approvals etc 

•   Establish business cases for profitable expansion of the network and tonnage in line with Client Feeder strategy 

•   Manage and coordinate Client Feeder’s interaction with internal and external parties related to vessel sale & purchase (s&p) activities to ensure most optimal network at all times. Represent BU during sale or purchase process with internal stake holders of Vessel Purchase/Sale Group.

•   Ensure charter process is closely coordinated with Operations from pre-planning to post-closure activities incl contract finalization and financial settlement with external parties (owners)

•   Develop and performance manage network partnerships (feeder operators, main line operators and vessel owners) related to JSA’s, VSA’s and slot swap/purchase agreements to establish new services, strengthen existing and mitigate cost exposure.

•   Act as senior focal point for Feeder partners and major Feeder customers (3rd party feeder or MLO) in connection with contract negotiation and performance management

•   Support VP Container Shipping in any other business and strategy matters related to Product, Network, Vessel Assets

•   Provide recommendations on new subordinate hires and ensure the availability of all resources required to perform assigned tasks and activities

•   Supervise subordinate staff, assign work activities, monitor performance and review results

•   Act as a coach to subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism

•   Perform job related duties as assigned
