Job description and purposeInterfacing between the manufacturing/operations, purchasing, inventory control departments and tollfactories to guarantee best achievement of the production plan.Ensure that finished goods inventories are maintained at a level specified by management  Job functions & responsibilities:1. Assist in the preparation of the production plan based upon forecast requirements, promotionalrequirements, and company inventory guidelines.2. Participates in the process of maintaining finished goods inventories at a level specified from forecasts andpromotional requirements.3. Ensure that all Material Requirements Planning (MRP) dates are maintained and updated accordingly.4. Ensure that desired Material Requirements Planning (MRP) quantities are properly communicated to thePurchasing Department.5. Works in the process of “Material Requisition” for raw materials and packaging materials if the inventory levelis less than the agreed level.6. Follows up on the delivery of needed components and services to ensure their availability in a timelymanner required for production.7. Issues “Production Orders” and “Packaging Orders” for raw materials and packaging materials8. Communicate production requirements to Purchasing and Production departments to ensure that therequired capacities are reserved to meet required production demand.9. Coordinate with appropriate manufacturing personnel the solution to problems related to the ProductionSchedule, such as material shortage status, rejection, scrap, re-work, etc.10. Coordinate and communicate all plans, schedules, changes and modifications to appropriate personnel inthe Planning & Purchasing and the Production Departments.11. Work on maintaining good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and behaviours.
