A company operating in the manufacturing of textiles requires a commercial manager position to be filled. The company imports yarn, dyes and chemicals, while it buys 10% locally. It converts yarn into textiles, which it dyes and finishes.  The company exports 80% of its products.The company is located at the Free Zone area in Nasr City, Cairo.Description of the JobThe Commercial Manager will be responsible for the following:Understanding sales and manufacturing plans and operations to make sure that the overall production planning is correct.Be responsible for the correct planning of the purchasing of yarn, dyes and chemicals to ensure the following:Raw materials arrive to the factory at the Free Zone on time.Stock levels are adequate and not excessive.Manage supply of raw materials at uncertain times, like Corona times when there is short in international shipping services and lower suppliers’ production.Control stock as follows:Conduct/supervise monthly accurate stock taking. Ensure safeguarding of all stock items.Liaise with finance for proper monthly reflection of stock balances in the accounts.Liaise with knitting factories and with the dye house to ensure that raw materials are delivered when and only when needed, items on the floor are under control, and unused materials in the factories are included in the monthly stock count. Ensure smooth movement of stock items and proper utilization of warehouses at four locations of the factories in the Free Zone.Know and manage items in stock at all locations.Understand and report on the Computer system and how our systems work.
