Within the Elevator Technology Business Area, thyssenkrupp Airport Solutions is in charge of manufacturing and servicing passenger boarding bridges (PBB), leading the world's market of PBBs and has a strong presence in Europe, the Middle East & Americas.

According to the company needs thyssenkrupp Airport Solutions, S.A. is currently looking for an experienced and qualified Project Manager to be working with us assigned to an upcoming international project in Sri Lanka, at Colombo Airport. The position would be permanently reside and work in Sri Lanka.

The main job duties of the Project Manager in our structure are the following ones:

Project planning

1. Ensuring that each department of the company carries out its mission in order to finish the project of its responsibility.

2. Being the voice of the client in the company and the voice of the company in the client.

3. Ensuring that the client receives all that it needs on time and according to the budget.

4. Coordinating the technicians assigned to the project: organising their works, managing the material and human resources of the project. 

5. Setting the strategy to follow at each project taking into account the cost and deadline.

6. Detecting potential risks of the project. Mobilising the different departments to the right direction when there are unforeseen circumstances.

Controlling projects

1. Ensuring the final result of the project is such as described in the contract.

2. Carrying out the economic follow-up the projects.

3. Communicating and monitoring the scope changes of the projects.

4. Defending the company's position. Being able to prepare and defend claims and variations.

Detecting improve areas

1. Identifying inefficient processes.

2. Showing shortcomings on the process.

Writing up technical and financial tenders
