Chief Engineer/ Projects Manager

Our company is currently seeking a Chief Engineer/ Projects Manager to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, this position will be responsible for managing teams and accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget and with quality results. The Chief Engineer/ Projects Manager will plan, organize, monitor, and oversee several projects at the same time, which may include research, operational reviews, project planning and design, and construction administration. Types of projects include residential, commercial, hospital or hotel, infrastructure and other associated construction works.

Responsibilities

·       Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, planners, designers, inspectors, and other staff as required;

·       Prepare project work plans and schedules, and obtain management/client approval;

·       Maintain continuing business relationships with internal team as well as external consultants/contractors/partners and clients as part of ongoing activities;

·       Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks and make adjustments as necessary;

·       Proactively track, analyze and report on actual performance against the plan, and prepare cost and schedule reporting, both for clients and as part of internal reporting processes;

·       Analyze project management and project delivery risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigating action;

·       Must be presentable and able to meet top clients with the management/ as commissioned, with the ability to present company work to clients and prepare and present reasoned, analytical and creative solutions to financial and design issues.

·       Other duties as assigned/required.
