About the Job: Work with the group Make sure that team members are writing beautiful, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways. Include line management and project management where appropriate. Develop and oversee the development processes ensuring that the web development team develops systems/code to agreed timescales, quality and in line with their agreed priorities. Ensuring development standards are met at all times and security is maintained. Build, test, implement and maintain web-based applications/services, troubleshooting web application and Infrastructure problems to reach the resolution as required. Make sure that our delivered projects are 120% well developed and well designed. Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve the quality of our clients' websites/portals and supporting infrastructure. Ensure that technical documentation is created and maintained to a high standard. Develop an understanding of existing information systems and consider opportunities for future development of web/portal solutions. Keep abreast of new technology for future-proofing applications and infrastructure, sharing knowledge with colleagues as appropriate. Carry out risk analysis of introducing new technology for development and infrastructure. Monitor the ongoing performance of web applications and infrastructure. Deliver quarterly KPIs report to the direct manager about development team members' performance. Deliver monthly reports about current projects' progress.
