We’re looking for an experienced Structural Engineer ready to join our growing team at ICMG, delivering quality work for clients in harbors, offshore structures, civil and infrastructures sectors. The candidate should have very good experience in the design, modeling, and detailing of steel structures, concrete structures, and foundations. Key Responsibilities:Deliver civil/structural engineering in line with project requirements, agreed engineering standards, and the relevant statutory requirements;Dealing with international structural codes, i.e. European and USA codes for structural steel and concrete design.Ensure that civil/structural design is delivered on time and according to the required standard on each project or study;Make drawings, specifications, and computer models of structures for building contractors.Use computers and structural system design and analysis software technology for simulation purposes.Use FEM design software, in-house spreadsheets, and prepare manual calculations as required.Prepare related design documents (drawings, reports, etc.)Investigate ground conditions and analyze results of soil sample and in‐situ test.Design different types of foundations (shallow and deep)

Structural design for commercial projects in new capital:Review and validate that all Structural designs, drawings and documents are to current codes and standards.Make calculations about pressures, loads, and stresses.Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.Obtain planning and/or building regulations approval.Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure.Liaise with professional staff such as architects and engineers.Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.Make frequent site visits for following up.Inspect properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations.Check the design criteria and basic designs of Structural works to obtain the maximum quality.

Analyze configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structures.Calculate the pressures, stresses, and strains that each component, such as beam or lintel.Consider the strength of various materials and to see how their inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design.Liaise with other designers including architects to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction.Make drawings, specifications, and computer models of structures for building contractors.Liaise with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally sound.Apply expert knowledge of the forces that act on various structures.Use computers and structural system design and analysis software technology for simulation purposes.Review all the related design documents (drawings, reports, etc.) with Structural Engineer Coordinator and coordination with Technical Coordinator and Project Architect and to clearly mark all the comments on the respective documents for correction as necessary. Analyze and apply to the project the agreed client requirements and which shall include all the related codes and standards as directed.
