Job Purpose

Directs and controls all Planning, Scheduling and control activities to ensure and provide highest quality of services by planning required manufacturing resources for the production of products to meet the mission statement requirements of SCC and its business plan and in compliance with SCC’s business strategy and best practices through the development of its resources in conformity with established policies and procedures. 


Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that delivery dates on inquiries are accurate and meet the capabilities of the production operations to ensure maximum capacity utilization and availability of materials by ensuring on time delivery.
  2. Establishes divisional manpower budget in accordance with the company goals and objectives and to accomplish within budgeted cost limit.
  3. Establishes in conjunction with production managers the quarterly, monthly and weekly transfer targets to ensure maximum transfer at minimum cost.
  4. Interfaces with procurement, Customer Services, sales and higher management to ensure information regarding the up to date factory load are known by all involved through Sales and Operations Planning weekly meeting.
  5. Ensures adequate training for all operational personnel in completing the accountabilities and responsibilities assigned to the successful completion of their tasks through the Training Department
  6. Supervise and review the production requirements to ensure the availability of raw materials.
  7. Ensure timely scheduling of orders to evaluate alternate materials as requested by units outside of manufacturing.
  8. Responsible for submitting and performance to an annual business plan that includes expense items and raw materials.
  9. Submits special reports on request basis by management on the performance of his team activities with regards to equipment efficiency, raw material usage, budgetary items and significant projects of the team.
  10. Sets up the required measures in Operations to improve the productivity and performance by accurate planning methods.

POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent will lead the business development activities for medium and small scale on-site and over the fence investments in air gases, hydrogen generators and environmental CO2 project in MEET region. .. In addition, the incumbent will also lead business development opportunities on hydrogen mobility (H2fM), green and blue hydrogen and ammonia opportunities in the region as required. The incumbent will coordinate with AP's regional large project business development teams, Air Products Qudra, Air Product GEMTE, external technology providers, engineering companies and customers to assess the market opportunities and identify prospects. Once opportunities are identified, the incumbent will form a business development task force team which will lead all aspects of the opportunity including screening for economic viability, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and then maintaining overall commercial responsibility for the investment during project execution. The opportunities will range from $3MM to over $100MM with complex technical, contract, and financing structures.

NATURE AND SCOPE
The incumbent will be the central focal point for all activity related to new investment opportunities for air separation units, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen genrators, environmental CO2 solutions and hydrogen mobility projects. The primary interfaces for this role include customers, partners, internal and external engineering teams, internal and external legal counsels, external advisors, and operations teams. The incumbent will need to balance the objectives of various stakeholder groups to develop a compelling value proposition to our customers and enables projects to be developed at or above our capital return targets. The complexity (scale, technologies, financing, and commercial arrangements) of these opportunities will be amongst the largest and most complex undertaken by AP. The incumbent will interface with the senior executives of some of the largest companies in the world and will need to be successful selling to that level.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is accountable for the following end results:

10+ yrs of experience in engineering, commercial management within an industrial manufacturing sector.5+ yrs experience selling technical solutions to senior executives. Experience with a build, own, operate model of large projects is preferred.Strong technical, industrial gases business and financial acumen including cash-flow analysis and capital structures.Experience negotiating large complex contracts
