Job Purpose

Carries out jointing and termination activities and help Lead Jointer to organize site activities.

The job holder is a skilled Technician involved in all aspects of cable jointing and termination work as well as providing direction to Jointing Assistants regarding jointing procedures, trouble shooting, etc.

Responsibilities

1. Helps Lead Jointer/Site Engineer in organizing the tools and work site.
2. Prepares the container on the location with arrangement for power supply.
3. Helps the test engineer while testing and commissioning cables, during the installation.
4. Takes  care of all tools and equipment and maintain them in working condition.
5. Reports the status of material supply and report the same to Lead Jointer I /Site Engineer.
6. Performs similar or other duties as assigned by the Lead Jointer I Site Engineer.
7. Makes sure Asst. Jointers follow safety measures at site as prescribed by the company
8. Assists in office/store for the repair of equipment/machine/tools
