Purpose of the position:The trainer is responsible to enable non-English speakers to understand, communicate and participate in conversations with international staff and respond to job requests, related to their scope of responsibilities. Non-English-speaking staff members hold positions like drivers, guards and cleaners. The English-Training should focus on their respective area of tasks and common day-to-day conversations. The training should take place on-site, at the end of the working day, tailored to small groups, composed according their language competence.Accountabilities:Assessment of language level/competenceSuggest ways of assessing language level and group compositionConduct placement tests with 30 staff members, analyze results and divide groups according to their levels and to their professional needsDesign and Planning of the training sessionsPrepare class materials and study plan for each level with learning objectives, description of methodology, instructional resources, length and frequency of sessions, ways of evaluating and completing a courseDesign calendar of group sessions Implementing, assessing progress and evaluating training sessionsApply the principles of adult educationCreate an animated learning environment and staff members motivated during the whole learning process.Use interactive participatory methods, focusing on conversation skills in subject areas relevant to the learnersRespond to students’ inquiries in a professional manner. Allow occasional attendance of line manager or assigned person and be open for feedback and suggested change if considered necessary.Use innovative methods of assessing progress in learning anf report to individuals regularlyPromote feedback and suggestions from learnersOrganizational and administrative tasksProvide line manager with reports about plans, progress and general participation at training sessionsKeep a record of staffs’ attendance and progress and report to line manager.Ensure completion and submission of signature lists Request necessary material in time and care for organization and maintenance of training room
